Dan Maffei-bought and paid for by the far left

Dan Maffei is running for Congress in New York's 25th district. He's running a new commercial in which he says that his grandfather's little factory closed and one hundred Syracusans lost their jobs. He is going to "stay and fight" to make Syracuse a great place to live again.

He says in his commercial that people leave NY for jobs in other states. Yet he fails to see the connection between the liberals in NY and their policies which have caused businesses to close and people to move away. People don't leave New York to live in California, New Jersey or Massachussetts. They leave NY to live in states with low taxes, where people can still afford to do business.

Mr. Maffei likes to remind us that he grew up in Syracuse. He leaves out the part about him being in Washington DC for most of his adult life. He doesn't mention that the only reason he moved back from Washington was to run for Congress. He also fails to mention where all of his campaign cash is coming from. His donors include the likes of George Soros and Eliot Spitzer. That doesn't include the thousands given to him by the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee.

His sales pitch about being a home town kind of guy is nonsense. The people weren't buying it the last time around. Let's hope they don't buy it this time.

Okay, are we a Repubublic, a Democracy or an Idiocracy?

The way things are going, it's beginning to look like our government should be called an Idiocracy, because it's being run by a bunch of idiots.

President Bush proposed eliminating a program "that helps low-income Americans make their homes more energy efficient". That is, a program that gives the money we earn and the government takes from us to other people so they can stick some insulation in their walls.

RINO Senator Susan Collins said "I hear from Mainers throughout my state that they are panicked about how they are going to heat their homes this winter and deal with the skyrocketing price of home heating oil." Of course they're worried! But these idiots in Congress won't allow further exploration and drilling for oil here at home. They block the construction of new nuclear power plants. Then when the cost to heat a home skyrockets they turn around and say they want to take tax payer money and send it to people to insulate their homes!

Why don't we all give Nancy Pelosi a phone call?

This afternoon Representative Peter King R-NY appeared in an interview on Fox News Channel. They showed a picture of Nancy Pelosi on the House floor with a sign showing the phone number of the White House, telling people to call the President and tell him to do something about gas prices. The funniest thing about it is that she was not kidding. It's amazing.

Rep. King said that Pelosi will not allow a vote in the House on domestic drilling, even though there are about several dozen democrats in favor of increasing domestic oil and natural gas production. Rep. King suggested we all call Nancy Pelosi's office at 202-225-0100 and tell her we want to drill. Don't be shy. Call her and tell your friends to call her. Then sign the petition to drill here, drill now and pay less!

British libs cast suspicion on tots

In Britain, the National Children's Bureau has issued a set of guidelines to nursery teachers to be alert for racism by children as young as three, according to the Brussells Journal. This is what the writer has to say about the current state of affairs in Britain:

Anyone who keeps abreast of the news in Britain will have become accustomed to the absurd, the insane, and the depressing: the sharp rise in violent crime; criminals routinely escaping with a fine or community service; the erosion of free speech; the destruction of our culture by an authoritarian “liberalism.” “Where will it all end,” someone asked me rhetorically a few weeks ago. No great comfort, I admit, I responded, “what makes you think it will end?”

The liberals are suspicious of all white British citizens and they're against British traditions, religion, culture and values. The liberals hate humanity in general and are even suspcious of small children.

The US, by contrast, still instills in its citizens – of whichever race or background – a sense of pride and hope. It believes that it is a great nation. And it is a nation “under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”

This is where I would disagree with the article. The left in our country is much the same as their pals across the pond. They blame America first, they want America to lose. They don't want immigrants to assimilate, they want America to change to suit the immigrants. They want God out of the Pledge. They call themselves progressive but they are against progress. They want to follow the failed socialist policies of Europe.

The left in America is angry because their chosen one, Barack Obama, is tacking rightward because he knows his radical left wing agenda won't sit well with the majority of Americans. Hopefully, the American people will see him for what he really is - a typical liberal politician pandering for votes.

Nancy Pelosi-Wrong Again

Nancy Pelosi is calling on President Bush to release oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve to stabilize prices. She just doesn't get it. Is this her response to the American Solutions petition to drill here, drill now, and pay less?

Rather than retrieve resources from our own land, Nancy Pelosi wants to take our reserves, which are set aside for emergencies or disruptions in supply, to try to rig oil prices. This has been tried before and it didn't work. Even if it did work it would only bring relief for a brief period of time. This will do nothing to reduce our dependence on foreign sources of oil.

It is amazing how these so called representatives can be so wrong, so often and continue to get away with it. In the mean time Iran continues playing their dangerous games and we still aren't doing any more drilling, building any new refineries or nuclear plants.

First if was grandma, then it was the reverend, then the church, the priest and now the entire far left wing of the Democratic party have been thrown under Obama's bus. His latest victims are not happy with their golden boy.

When I first learned of Obama's win in Iowa, I thought wow, at long last the Democratic party is going to move the country away from the evil of conservative control. As Turley says, and as I've written many times over the last two weeks, what is most appalling here beyond the bill itself are the pure falsehoods being spewed to the public about what Congress is doing -- and those falsehoods are largely being spewed not by Republicans. Republicans are gleefully admitting, even boasting, that this bill gives them everything Bush and Cheney wanted and more, and includes only minor changes from the Rockefeller/Cheney Senate bill passed last February (which Obama, seeking the Democratic Party nomination, made a point of opposing.

Obama's arrogance is reaching megalomaniac proportions. He obviously feels he can change position at will on a host of issues, without serious consequences because, he seems to think, Democrats who didn't support him initially will willingly support him now because they have nowhere else to go.

Earlier this evening I was listening to John Gibson on Sirius and he played some clips of former Obama supporters really freaking out, cursing and crying. It's kind of amusing, the left is totally freaking out over Obama finally doing the right thing. He said he was going to become bi-partisan, do they really believe he can win in November by being a far left loon? Frankly, I wish he had kept the far left happy.

Haven't we known this all along?

It's official. Psychiatrists have detected the first case of "climate change delusion" in a 17 year old boy in Australia who was so afraid of climate change he believed that if he drank water it would result in the deaths of millions of people.

The only thing wrong with the conclusions of these psychiatrists is that this is the first case! Haven't they heard of Al Gore, Sheryl Crow, Laurie David or any of the other global warming hysterics out there? Maybe they are so engrossed in their work that they don't have time to listen to the news. Maybe, being in Australia, they didn't hear about the time Sheryl Crow said people should limit their toilet paper use to one square per, uh, sitting. If that isn't delusional I'd like to know what is.

Well, at least now we have an official diagnosis for the Global Warming Kool-Aid drinking wackos out there.

Obama Wants us all to Speak Spanish

Yo no hablo Espanol! No Obama, I don't speak Spanish and I don't want to! If my kids want to learn Spanish so they can work at the DMV some day to help all the illegal alliens obtain drivers' licenses, fine, they can learn Spanish. If they want to travel abroad some day, fine, they can learn the language. As long as they live here, in the United States of America, the only language they should be required to learn is English.
