He said he has just one more to go. Then he'll hit all 58. Can you imagine the field day the press would be having if Bush had said this?
I would've thought that after all the horrors of the current admin., one would skip right over this. I can't blame anyone for being cynical, though. Are there those out there who believe the senator doesn't know how many states are in the union rather than a tongue slip? ... and ... comparing this to W's great moments in presidential speeches ?
What horrors are you referring to? The expansion of the federal government in the name of "compassionate conservatism"? Yeah, that was pretty horrific.
I know it was a slip up, but it's funny and if it were a Republican the clip would be played on an endless loop.
when McCain makes a slip, he is accused of being old and senile. when Obama does it, it hardly gets any play at all in the msm.
I'm staying away from most blogs now. they are either too left or too right for me. I guess I'm more of a moderate these days. I like to hear real debate without the trash talk. I tried to play the trash talk game, but it's not really me. I don't think anyone learns much of anything with a closed mind. Just my humble opinion. I will vote for Sen. McCain because I think he is most qualified for the job, not because he is a republican.

We'd never hear the end of it. Maybe he was thinking of John Kerry and 57 varieties of ketchup when he said it.
