Meet the Hero Who Alerted Police to Times Square Bomb

I believe this man's name is Lance Orton, he's the street vendor in New York City, and a Vietnam veteran. He alerted the police to the bomb in Times Square. His message to New Yorkers is "If you see something, say something." Great advice. This could have turned out really badly.

Hot Air has more on the story. There was speculation that the offices of Viacom were the target because of South Park's depiction of Mohammad. But now it looks like the Taliban is taking credit. The police say that the propane bomb was only moments from going off. That would have been a nightmare.

Update: There's a report that this was a diversion, and a larger attack is scheduled for a later date and time. I hope they're wrong.

He is indeed a hero. This car was parked by The Lion King. I would think there would have been many families inside the theater.

Times Square is such a busy, crowded place. It would have been awful. I just read that someone is claiming this was just a diversion for a larger attack to come. Hope that's wrong.

Pakistani Taliban is claiming credit. They will never stop until stopped.

I'm not confident that they will be stopped with Obama in charge.

Maggie's right. This man is a hero. Thanks to his being alert, he saved lives. I hope they find out who in the U.S. was responsible for this act.

Be strong, get well, and keep on with what you are doing. An attack on your site tells me you must be doing something right.

Right shall prevail.

Have a nice Sunday Night. I am trying not to worry, but I know with barry running things, we are in grave danger. Think I"ll go watch cute animals now, it's to
frightening to contemplate.

I'm sure you've heard by now, it was a muslim paki behind the whole thing. No matter how much liberals prayed for it to be a Tea Partier or connected to them in some way, it turned out to be one of their beloved allies.

Needless to say liberals remain frightened of shadows and jumpy incase some tea bags are hurled at them.
