Reaping what they Sow

I have to admit that Republican leadership in recent years has left a lot to be desired. But watching what is happening with the Democrats has been nothing short of magnificent. The leaders of the Democratic party have taken incompetence to a whole new level!

Don't forget, now, that this is the party that's billing itself as being the party of the future, the visionaries, the forward-looking politicians. Recent events tend to disprove that claim.

When Michigan and Florida chose to move up their primary dates both parties scolded and punished the two states. The Republicans cut their delegates in half. I thought it was all sort of ridiculous, but in the whole scheme of things that didn't seem like a big deal to me.

But the Democrats felt that they needed to severely punish the two states for stepping out of line and not following their rules. So they stripped the states of ALL delegates. So much for vision.

Now we are going to witness a civil war in the Democratic party. They may have the states hold new primaries, but they have no way to pay for that. They may go ahead and seat those delegates anyway but that would enrage Obama's supporters and all hell would break loose.

They've really gotten themselves into a pickle and I couldn't be more tickled.
