A Question for the Panderers

Think back, if you will, to the many people you have known in your lifetime. Most of the people that I have known who work hard and make good choices have done well in life. Sure, we all make bad choices at times. And sometimes things happen that nobody can control. But most of us, for the most part don't make enormous mistakes that ruin our lives.

People who finish school, get a job and do their job to the best of their abilities normally will do well in life. Some people do all of the above but then blow their money on prostitutes, gambling, drugs or whatever other bad habits they can think of. Those folks' hopes for a successful life will be diminished.

In the old days if you made bad choices you were on your own. Today we have politicians who promise to take care of us no matter what. Go ahead and make bad choices for yourself. Buy a home you can't afford. Drop out of school. Be lazy at work. Don't worry about it. They will make sure we are all taken care of. I just want to know why nobody asks these politicians "Why do those of us who work hard and make sound decisions have to pay for those that don't?"
